“Steampunk Summer Series” at the Vacaville Town Square Library

By Delilah Wilson

Steampunk has arrived in Vacaville!

Journey through our steampunk event series, and catch a glimpse of a time inspired by 19th –century industrial steam-powered machinery.

Our first event, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 6:00pm, showcases author Stephanie Kato and her steampunk-themed books:  The Post-Apocalyptic Society, Volumes I and II.

Our second event, on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 6:30pm, presents San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter, Unwoman. She’s the recipient of the 2015 Steampunk Chronicle Reader’s Choice Award for Best Solo Musician and Best Album.

Our final steampunk event, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 6:30pm, will reveal what happens when gadgets and ideas collide at Obtainium Works, the Bay Area’s premiere art car studio. Master designer and builder, Shannon O’Hare, will share how he creates his whimsical vehicles and how you can learn to make your own art-inspired vehicle.

All are welcome to attend, and steampunk attire is encouraged for all our events.
