Be a Summer Reading Star and Share Your Art on Social Media

By Jennifer La Riviere

Are you a creative soul with your head in the clouds? Do you spend your time speculating on the solar system? Submit celestial-inspired artwork to Solano County Library for the Star Art Contest. Design your own constellation, paint a realistic picture of Jupiter, write a haiku about life on Mars, or create a meme about the solar eclipse, or any work of your choice.

By participating you could win tickets for a family of four to visit the Solano County Fair (Aug. 2-6). The winner will also receive a certificate and recognition.

Share your artwork between June 12-July 16 by using #SRCStar on social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram). You must be registered for the Summer Reading Challenge to win.

The winner will be notified through social media how to collect their prize. They will also receive a certificate and recognition at the Solar Eclipse Party to be held at the Vacaville Town Square Library.
