Town Square Writer’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration

Local author, Jeff Dwyer, will be the speaker at the Town Square Writer’s Fifth Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, September 20. Free and open to the public, this event will be held at the Vacaville Town Square Library in downtown Vacaville from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.


The evening begins with entertainment, light refreshments, and an chance to meet the authors from the Town Square Writers. Since the group began meeting five years ago, more than 15 members have been published. There will be opportunity to meet the authors, talk with them about the craft and art of writing, and purchase their books.  Their works include nonfiction, memoirs, fiction (including mystery, fantasy, and historical fiction), inspiration, poetry, and titles for children and for young adults.


Jeff Dwyer will be speaking about how he became a writer and about his books, followed by a question and answer period. Jeff writes novels, screenplays, and books that explore the paranormal. He has appeared on over 100 radio and TV shows, including “Ghost Adventures” and “Aftershock”. He is the author of Passages Home, a novel about a returning Iraq veteran with PTSD, and the series which includes Ghost Hunter’s Guide to the San Francisco Bay Area. The Town Square Writers meet weekly on Tuesday afternoons. They explore different aspects of the craft of writing, getting published , and marketing. They function as a critique group for members with works in progress. New members are welcome.
