Brief Plot Summary
During World War II, the three brothers of Private Jack Ryan (Damon) are killed in combat. The U.S. government does not want to have Mrs. Ryan lose all of her sons. So they send a team of eight men lead by Captain John Miller (Hanks) to find Ryan and bring him home. They face impossible odds such as facing a German sniper and winning, capturing a German Base, and defending a town down to the last men without losing the will to fight. The movie opens with the casualty filled D-day raid which is an eye opener!
What I thought of the film
A great film for history buffs and war junkies alike. Very real throughout the whole movie. Would watch again and again!
