Poem about a Lunar Eclipse

By The Say-er of It 10/19/12 at 9:36AM

Lunar Eclipse

It started out glowing,
the feeling was growing,
there was magic in the air.

It was golden and pure,
its path was for sure,
happy and unaware.

For the first time complete,
nothing can compete
with one’s first lunar eclipse.

The stars all twinkled,
the corners of his eyes crinkled,
and I was deep beneath his lips.

Swallowed into black,
my body going slack,
catatonic by my swoon,

Suddenly I was falling,
but no one heard my calling,
and now I wait for the return of the moon.
