The Library offers a lot of different activity’s for teens. I participated in three activities at the Fairfield Cordelia Library. The first program I participated in was with a speaker named Wil Cason and he helped me and other teens to achieve our goals and make us strive to do better. It was really useful and helped me out a lot. The second program was also with Wil Cason but this time it was to help with confidence. You would be surprised by how many kids that were at this program were very unconfident. What Wil did was he had all of us do activities together and helped build our confidence. For example we would each say a little speech about our self’s, describe words that made us feel good about ourselves, and played a tennis ball game to build confidence and help teamwork. Finally the third one was a self-defense class for women which really helped, you wouldn’t believe how easy it is to get yourself out of a situation where you’re in trouble. I was very surprised by how much the library offers for teens and young kids. These programs really help, they sure did help me. Everyone should come to the library whether it is for tutoring, reading, self-defense, building confidence and setting goals. The library helps everyone so much so you should stop by and see what’s going on at your local library.
