Summer Volunteer opportunities

Summer is coming and that means long days, hot sun, and the Library Summer Reading Program. If you would like to volunteer for the Summer Reading Program, please see your library's Young Adult Staff at the information desk about applying for Summer volunteer opportunities.

when is the deadline to apply ?
By Kevin Tolley_1 on 05/10/13 at 11:38AM
Hello, The deadline to apply depends on your local library. Check at the Information Desk. If you live in Vacaville, we have an orientation for summer volunteers at 3:30 on Thursday, May 23 at the Down Town Library. But if you can't make that date, let Kevin (Down Town) or Beth (Cultural Center) know and we will figure something out.

For Vacaville, call the 866 572 7587 number and ask for Elizabeth at the Cultural Center. She will be able to answer your questions, though I don't believe they are taking more applications at this time.

For Vallejo, also call the 866 572 7587 number and ask for Mark Flowers at Kennedy Library or Juenita at Springstown Library.

How old do you have to be to volunteer at the Cordelia library?

Anyone want to volunteer here at the Rio Vista library? Call the number Kevin gives, and ask to be put through to Susan at Rio.

#Naheemah You need to ask Jennifer at the Cordelia Library to find out the volunteer situation there. However, the general rule for Solano County is that you must be 12 to 17 to volunteer as a teen.
